My friend started pain management for liver pain being methadone in March 2009 in U.S.A. I am looking for a Pain Management doctor in New Delhi who uses Methadone and or Morphine for pain patients in India. New Delhi or Mumbai or Kolkata or Chennai or State of Kerala City Thiruvananthapuram or other city Good for Medical Care In India.

Alright, I know everyone hears a lot of: "How do I get Oxycontin/Roxycodone/Morphine/Lortabs/Vicodin/Methadone/etc. without a prescription?", but that's not what I'm asking. I have serious bodily injuries, so much so that doctors told me I would plrobably always be in a fair amount of pain--right before they refuse to prescribe me ANYTHING (not even ibuprofen, which doesn't help, but I'm trying to express the seriousness of the situation; they won't give me anything due to my drug record). I need pain pills to be able to work, move right, and even think. Serious pain, especially back/neck/arm/leg pain all at once, is a very debilitating condition, and it has caused me to completely revamp how I live from day to day. I can't keep a job--I'm always being sent home due to pain, I can't do anything physically active--without the pain pills, I can't even help being sluggish and subdued all the day through, and I have to spend all of the little money that I do have on pain pills just to feel good enough to face the day. Now, before you start labelling me a drug-user and using all of those other misplaced names on me, understand that I USED to be a drug user, hence the drug record. But, I quit doing drugs entirely (except the xanax/ativan prescriptions I had at the time), and I was driving a convertible at 130mph, no seatbelt and the top down--I was extremely upset, someone who was close to me my entire life, even raised me a significant amount of the time, died a few days earlier; it's pretty obvious where this is going: I had an absolutely HORRIFIC car wreck in which my neck vertebrae, upper back vertebrae and middle back vertebrae were broken/fractured, my right shoulder had a 1" rebar go thorugh it, shattering my right shoulder blade and the surrounding bones structure (it's visually misshapen, you can see it obviously, through the skin, from a good 10/15 feet away), my left elbow had a rebar go through it and I lost most of the feeling in my left forearm, save sharp needle-like pain constantly, my ribs were cracked on both sides as skin was ripped out 1/2 inch deep, jammed my right knee so bad it got destroyed basically-I walk with a limp even with pain meds sometimes now, and several other not-sobad as these injuries occurred, as well. This all happenned close to two years ago now, and they've said that I will have healed up as much as possible in 4 months time--that I should have been pretty much done healing already, actually. Well, I still can't do a damn thing hardly, my whoile life has been stripped from me--due, simply, to the fact that no doctor will even consider that I am acutally HURTING from these injuries (also, I've had dozens of documented injuries throughout my life, starting at age 7--I've always "played hard":), and when they do believe that I need the medicine, they tell me that I'm too big of a risk to send home with even 60 lortabs-2 a day for one month-something that does close to nothing for me (I have to take 4 or so to begin pain relief). Please, from a desperate and depressed 20 year old, someone try to help e figure something out. I'm out of options, short of selling everything I own and getting to a country that wouldn't treat me like this to start over, pain free. I'm young, and I have a lot fo potential to do great thigs in this world--I have always excelled in school, but can't even attend anymore, becuase I can't concentrate for the pain. Again, please, someone help me--anything will be greatly appreciated.

Go to a Pain Management Specialist. Sorry that all of this has happened to you. My brother was involved in a bad accident years ago and he still has problems from it and probably will for the rest of his life. Also, have you talked to an attorney about suing for the car accident, I mean I don't know if that is possible or not, but worth a try.

Oh my brother went to a Pain Management Clinic and they actually gave him medicine to help with his pain. He suffers all the time too, he now has Rheumatoid Arthritis in addition to his old injuries.

I have a friend who would be bedridden and unable to eat due to pain from cancer pain who had a colostomy, urostomy, prostima, kidney surgeries and now has liver pain that's terminal and scar tissue from the multiple cancer surgeries she had. I am trying to find out what countries have methadone as a analgesic pain management opiate. Her pain management doctor has contact with u.s.a. pain management doctors but not forigen ones plus he does not know the laws in other countries.
I would like to find doctors or methadone clinics that will take foreigner pain management patient from the U.S.A. who's going to retire or visit as medical tourist. Please tell me what countries use methadone for pain management analgesic drug. If your country uses methadone for cancer patients and others with chronic pain illnesses like multiple sclerosis, A.L.S. , major back problems ETC. Canada? United Kingdom? Ireland? Australia? New Zealand? Thailand? China? Hong Kong? India? France? Spain? Mexico? Philippines? Costa Rica? Aruba? and any unnamed countries that use Methadone as a Analgesic Pain Management.

I know methadone is available in Mexico. The care is also less expensive there. But here is the thing to consider. Health care is less expensive because there is little to no provision for those who are "broke." If her money runs out first, it is doubtful that she would qualify for any care in a foreign country. It is also a very sad reality that a majority of medical expenses are incurred in the final six months of life unless there are provisions for a euthanasia option. To the best of my knowledge, only Washington state allows that option in the US. For all of the political rhetoric, the US still probably has the most compassionate and best end of life care in the world. Dignity is of utmost importance to the end. I don't think that is the answer you were looking for, but it is the most honest one I can give based upon a great deal of work and study in the field of geriatrics. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Since I've lived in Arizona (rural northern area of), I can't find a doctor who will prescribe this for me...I take Soma for my Chronic Progressive MS, and other class 3 drugs. But still my doctors always look down upon me if I ask for these drugs...any answers for Yavapai county in Arizona?? Doctors names etc.? Thanks...

Ask your doctor about scheduling a telemedicine consult for pain management. The Arizona Telemedicine Program has several sites in northern Arizona. Telemedicine consults are done via interactive video at a local site - you don't have to drive to Phoenix or Tucson. In many cases, MediCare or insurance will cover the cost of the consult.
