I just started hearing about methadone being used recreationally. I know what it is for but am curious why it is being used recreationally and is it now easy to get?
Methadone is a synthetic opiate with several uses. It is used to aid Heroin addicts to taper off the (heroin) they are using so that they can get sober. It is also used humanitarily for pain for terminally ill patients. Do you seriously want to try this stuff??? It is actually more physically addictive than Heroin itself.

I have heard news that buprenorphine is more effective than methadone and more appealing. I want to consult someone further about this. Does anyone know of a drug rehab that administers this as medication?
The first link below may help you find physicians who can administer buprenorphine. I have read reports about this medication too, and from what I've read, it does seem more appealing than methadone.
