ok, i was thinking about taking a 10 mg methadone pill and cutting it in half and consuming only one half of it. Does this mean that i would only be consuming 5 mg? or how does this work?
You got the right idea. If I only needed 5 mg, that is what I would do assuming that it isn't being done recreationally. Opiates are too dangerous to the cardiovascular for me to mess with unnecessarily.

no. when you go to take your drug test, you need to bring your prescription. they test for illegal drugs; not drugs you were prescribed for chronic pain. just bring your prescription and you'll be fine.
Reading an eminem interview he says he took 2 blue pills which he od,d on and found out they were methadone. I dont think that a blue methadone pill exists???
There is no such thing as blue methadone pills. There are currently two legal manufacturers of methadone in the U.S.: Mallinckrodt and Roxanne Pharmaceutical companies. Mallinckrodt makes rectangular, white shaped pills in 10 mg increments. Roxanne makes round, white pills, also in 10 mg increments. It is possible that he took Methadose, which is the same thing as Methadone but is a brand name....even then, however, I have never heard of a blue Methadose pill.
I find it entirely unlikely that the "blue" meds he took were methadone. They used to make orange "wafers" which came in 40 mg increments but these are no longer available and have been discontinued by both manufacturers of Methadone.
