Modern Feminists, can you help me understand the history of how Methadone aka Dolophine was developed...?

Besides having been a highly efficacious agent in the treatment of heroin withdrawal, methadone's long half-life makes it a very useful narcotic for the treatment of chronic pain (many pain managment experts find it equieffective to Oxycontin.

If you can help me with the the history of Dolophine's development, I would greatly appreciate if you can explain why we shouldn't do experiments on unborn children if they are sub-human?

Lastly, since the Nazis felt that Jews were subhuman, what's to ensure that modern Feminists don't find men subhuman as well? What sort of experiments would you perform on men prior to eradicating us since your doctrine clearly regards men as subhuman (not unlike a Sprague-Dawley rat)?

*Please note that waiting for evidence of genocide isn't a prudent thing to do. When one smells smoke, it's best to assume there's a fire.
Rainbows: Methadone used to be the standard for heroin withdrawal until the inception of the benzons. With benzos, the cocktail is essentially as euphoric as heroin, so it's just hard to get off methadone. These days, suboxone is pretty much the standard for heroin detox. Methadone when used in a pill preparation is a terribly potent, long acting analgesic, just as good as OC. I know this from clinical expertise and personal tragedies in my own life. When DEA was scrutinizing every script for OC, most pain management specialists were perfectly comfortable wirting for equianalgesis quantities of Methadone solid and that patients did extraordinarily well. Probably the most potent analgesic we have that's Sched II is Fentanyl, and in 72h transdermal release, it's about as potent as it gets but is contraindicated in the post operative setting. It's ideal in patients with chronic, intractable pain, e.g. carcinoma.

The question still remains, how was Doliphine researched and on whom

I heard the withdrawls from methadone are pretty bad too. Also this drug will be used on adult so wouldnt make more sense to test it on adults?

History of Heroin & Methadone?

Heroin & Methadone
Has it ever been legal? When and when was it banned?
During what time period did these drugs become popular?
Which population abuses these drugs the most?

Heroin has never been legal. Methadone has always been Legal.
They stopped manufacturing methadone in the 40mg doses at the first of this year. Heroin became most used after the Vietnam war. But is still a huge problem in inner cities. Methadone is a great pain killer that has a bad rep because it has been used as a "step down" method for heroin addicts. Therefore the free methadone clinics in most cities.
Both drugs are highly addictive and should be left alone.

When taking a medical when applying for a Job do they check if your clean now or your past drug history?

Or does it stay private? for instance somebody who use to be on methadone but are clean for few years, would this come up when taking a medical for a new job? or does medical check only involve present health issues and present drug addiction?..This mainly in the UK.

Thanks.

no, in the UK they tend to ask any major illnesses, allergies family history

they will prob ask if you are on medication but if you're not there's no need to tell them

they won't ask if you've ever been a drug addict and if you're not currently using anything, including methadone there's no reason to tell

congratulations by the way, it's tough to get clean and stay clean so i'm really impressed you managed it

oh, it might come up if you have any convictions that are drug related so that's worth bearing in mind

opiates vs methadone what are the requirements?

if someone was in a motorcycle accident and they had a history of addiction to opiates are they more likely to be prescribed methadone?

Methadone can be used for pain, but it is usually prescribed for patients with chronic pain, not for acute pain after an accident. If the person has a history of addiction they will still be able to get their pain treated, but the doctor will likely monitor the prescription very carefully and will not issue a refill on a continuous basis. If it turns into chronic pain, the pain management doctor will need to make the decision as to whether Methadone is the appropriate drug, and if not, they will just make him come in more often for his refills and pill counts. He will also be drug tested more frequently than most pain management patients.

What year was methadone discovered for the use of narcotic addiction?

Ok here we go, it's Florida again.Well Florida decides to ban the sale of methadone for the use of pain. When the history of methadone goes like this:It was made by the Germans for pain in world war I because the united states made morphine for pain during world war I and was not selling to Germany, of coruse not. This way we would win the war.So Germany didn't have pain med.s for the war so German scientists made methadone for the German soldiers. And it was cheap to make and sell. Then I losse what happened next and when they started using it for addiction. But now Florida is banning the sale of methadone for pain.I've had 3 botched up back surguries and 3 hand surguries. And I've been living with pain since 1990 when I fell on a Florida construction job.I've been through all types of medication and even was on that oxycontin crap. But methadone is the only thing that has given me some what of a life back, for the l;ast 3 years. And I can afford it.I used to pay $450. amonth for oxycontin.

Hi,
Methadone wasn't used in WW1 but in World War 2. The allied forces blocked the supply of Morphine going into Nazi Germany. So the Nazis came up with Methadone. It was synthesized in Germany in 1937. They (Bockmühl and Ehrhart) applied for a patent in 1941.

It's sad to hear that Florida is going to ban the sale of Methadone. It is a strong drug but it does have its uses. And it is so cheap compared with other opioid medications.

Drop me a line if you need anything. There are other options available for pain relief and we can talk about it if you like.
