i belong to a methadone clinic that is making us take ekg tests to see if we have Q.T. syndrome. if so their lowering our dose. i say bull but they say its true, but they are known to lie constantly.
Yes it is true. As I am sure you are aware, methadone is an opioid. With prolonged use of any drug there will be side effects. Methadone can also cause life threatening arrhythmias which can manifest from long QT intervals.

Dude, you need to call this number and get some help for the pain your suffering from this addiction and why you started in the first place.
Methadone imposes potentials cardiac adverse effects and cardiac risks such as QT ptolongation, bradycardia, arryhthmia, etc. so it is not used for heart problems. It is used for chronic pain as in cancer and for tratment of heroin addiction. Check out the links down to have further readings.
My dr prescribed me Clonodine for the rapid heart beat associated with methadone withdrawal. I would like to take a larger dose of advil for some aches and pains, like 600-800mg but I'm unsure if this okay w/ the Clonodine. The Rx paperwork for Clonodine said to double my dose of Clonodine if I plan on taking Advil or any NSAID's. But I'm wondering if this is correct and if so, is doubling my dose accurate? Right now my regular dose is 1/2 tablet 0.1 mg in the morning and a full tablet 0.1 mg at night. (I also take Requip for RLS and Wellbutrin for depression)
Unless your clonidine tablet is scored for division, you cannot expect to get an accurate dose.
I do not know about your special instructions.
A word of warning about clonidine. Once a person has been taking it for a peroid of time, sudden withdrawal can lead to hypertensive crisis.
The only safe way to stop taking it is to have a combination of alpha and beta blockers, together.
At the drugs@fda link I do not see any direct reference of any drug interaction of clonidine with wither requip or wellbutrin.
Advil and other asprin like drugs cause water retention that can raise up blood pressure, the usual use of clonidine is for high blood pressure, but it has other uses as well.

Palpitations are a known side-effect of cipramil. Call your doctor and ask if he thinks you should stop taking it. Also, were you prescribed the methadone? If not, why the hell are you taking it?
