Is Methadones euphoria similar to morphines?
Heroins?
Or oxy.
dont tell me there all the same cuz there opiates cuz iv done them all and the euphorias are all different.
+it may be hard to convert methadone to oxycodone mg to mg. but what would you think a 80mg oxy would convert into aprx in methadone?
In my experience, recreational use of Methadone has caused me to do a lot of CPR and a lot of vacuuming vomit out peoples lungs on the way to the ER. Those not fortunate enough to pass away quickly have the misfortune of severe brain injury to contend with. Its a free country and you can poison yourself with whatever you wish, but I've seen more accidental OD with Methadone than with herion. Most of it due to people who have no idea what the drug does and how it works. They give it the ol college try and wake up dead.
If you're really interested in cause and effect of drugs, go to pharmacy school. Otherwise, please enjoy your eventual spiral into addiction.

Have been on opiates/opioids since age 13 since I have chronic myelogenous leukemia since then, and even before that, it took years to diagnose, so I was probably ill for quite a while.
I've been on every painkiller available on the market here is order of the drugs I first took.
Pentazocine, Nalbuphine, Codeine, Oxycodone, Morphine, Hydromorphone, Fentanyl, Methadone.
I have also tried various other medications including: Nabilone (analogue of THC the main chemical in marijuana) Marinol, Flurazepam, Clonazepam, Lorazepam, Diazepam, Temazepam, Triazolam, Zopiclone, Zolpidem, Zaleplon, and even Ketamine, which I thought was strange.
Turns out Ketamine is prescribed to humans in my country, and it's the most effective pain reliever I have ever used, the problem is it makes you feel very dissasociated with your body, and you literally feel nothing. You could chop off your arm, and not feel it. Your body becomes numb. It comes in a vial, and u inject it into your skin on your arm or hip. also, it can be used under the tongue. I felt really depressed on it and I had to stop taking it, but it's really an amazing drug for pain.
Methadone is the last pain reliever I tried, at age 18, and it gives me profound euphoria unlike anything I ever experienced, except with Oxycodone when I first started taking pain relievers.
The euphoria is what distracts me from the pain in my body, and it's an amazing painkiller BUT, I've read on the internet it's not addictive and produces little to no euphoria. I find this to be totally false. Its EXTREMELY STRONG, and makes you feel extremely inebriated/intoxicated.
Does anyone else find this?
I think it's actually pretty dangerous, It slows my heart rate to 55-60bpm, when normally it is 80bpm. I also become quite itchy all over and warm, sweaty.
It's very detrimental to my sex life as well. But I would not be able to live without it.
I think the reason I've made it this far (Leukemia for 11 years) has something to do with not being in pain and having a better state of mind and not being totally tired out and stressed from pain.
Does anyone else find it is causes profound euphoria?
Or is it just me and my body chemistry?
I also have a platelet disorder called ITP, and Reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD). I have severe pain from a car accident in which I broke my hip and leg and 1 shoulder, and pain from damage caused by blood clots I had in my left and right lung. I have alot of scarring in my pleural cavity, and lungs, from the clots so I suffer from pleurisy in both lungs, which is chronic and permanent. I got blood clots from a drug I was given to help my blood clot, guess it clotted too much, I was in the hospital for 43 days recovering. I'm still not recovered fully and it's been a year and a half.
Yes methadone is as close to heroin as you can get without using the real thing. I got ahold of some from my guy after i had a mouth surgery go wrong and i used it to subside the pain so i could sleep. however i would wake in the middle of the night gone and out of my mind stoned
Just for starters, that is quite a dose of methadone you just took. I do hope that you realize that one of the main side effects of this drug is CNS (Central Nervous System) depression. The CNS controls your vital functions, such as respiration. If you take too much all at once, then you can very easily supress your CNS too much and it will cause respiratory arrest which will lead to cardiac arrest and ultimatley death if naloxone is not administered in time. Also, this is an opioid agonist, meaning that it binds to the opioid receptors in the brain, this process changes the way your brain precieves the pain signal, and for many people this change results in euphoria. But you sould know that there are only so many receptors, so when you exceed the max dose in one time period, you are actually just wasting your money and the drug, because the first 20 or 30 mg take up all of the receptors, meaning that all of that excess is just dumped back into the blood stream and cycled out as waste....so if you want to continue using methadone, at least be safe about it...stay withing the dosing range for your age group...it will keep you alive and it will also save you money!
Now as for the ecstacy, it is the drug which is known as MDMA. It has quite the oppisite effect as methadone, meaning instead of supressing the CNS, it speeds it up. With that being said, the substantial dose of methadone that you just took means that you will still have a significant amount of the methadone in your system tomorrow when you are wanting to take the MDMA. So that translates into your CNS being supressed by one drug and increased by the other. This is very dangerous and in fact, can cause your desired experience on MDMA to be greatly reduced. So my suggestion (from both a safety standpoint and a standpoint of achieving the desired effect that you are after) would be to hold off a few days before taking the MDMA and in the future reduce your dose of any opiate that you take to be within the dosing range for your age. You may think the more you take at one time the greater the euphoria, but it is psychosomatic because from a neurochemical standpoint, it is not feasible.
Be careful and if you are going to use drugs recreationally then I would suggest just sticking with the opiates, as although you may aquire them illegally, they are still manufactured legally and by reputable pharmaceutical companies that have to adhere to strict FDA regulations whereas the MDMA is made in some nasty old house somewhere by people who have limited chemistry knowledge and have no clue about good manufacturing practices.
im on 10mg 3months now..i dont feel anything infact i hate taking a pill every 8hours.im not sure what it does im taking it
for phantom pain maybe its blocking nerve pain but as far as
a high..i dont get any high doesnt it block euphoria?
I took methadone one time and I was seriously intoxicated. I spent 10 hours or so in a daze. Maybe you don't get the high because you are getting its intentional use.
When you actually need a painkiller to kill pain it doesn't get you high unless you take more than you need.
I take methadone for major pain stemming from a car wreck, 2 failed vertebra fusions, and more recently an emergency brain surgery. I also take a major opiate. My doctor says that methadone is a longer acting med and the opiate is a shorter acting one to get me through the hard-times. I know that methadone blocks the euphoria of opiates and also lessens the craving in drug addiction. Knowing this I wonder if it also blocks the pain killing effects. If you could let me know where you got your info I would appreciate that also. thanks
No from my knowlege, it's an opiate agonist with little to no antagonist effects.
