Great racket. Use money made from people forced into methadone addiction to invest in cocaine. Compassion at it's best!

My cousin had been doing this and I've been trying to tell her she is asking for trouble...says she waits a couple days between doing either. Is this dangerous...she say she only takes small does of methadone, but who knows the amount of crack cocaine she uses. Hoping a medical person may elaborate on this. She is of the mind that one is a downer, one an upper, so no big deal. Please help if you can...if there is not much to be concerned about, then I guess I'll figure another way to get the point to her that she needs to stop using.

I lost my sister in November 2006 from this combo and this November 2007 her ex-husband died of the same thing. Now there are 4 kids without any parents. The grandchildren will never know what it is like to have grand parents. I hope she will check into a rehab center to help get clean.

alright meth and methadone are notthe same thing... now both blow and domes are bad for you but id have to say methadone is worse... its highly addictive... kills your brain and jsut makes you sleep for days... besides its a pharmacutical which in the long run are worse for you than most street drugs to being with...

It works wonderfully for my herion addiction and I don't want to go off of it since I know I'd immediately start using again. So many people consider it a "heroin substitute". However, I DO NOT get high on it and it is medically controlled so when taken correctly, there is little risk of an overdose. Not to mention all the awful things that go along with heroin addiction like the risk of contaminated needles, drugs laced with deadly substances, doing illegal things to get your "fix", and the fact that you will eventually end up dead or in prison. The problem is that I still have problems with alcohol and cocaine and methadone DOESN'T help with those addictions. I want to get help for all my substance problems but almost all rehabs are VERY AGAINST Methadone. I don't want to be on Methadone the rest of my life. I will eventually wean myself off (VERY SLOWLY) so that I don't get sick (it is addictive like heroin). Any thoughts about this? Please be kind. This is rough!

I'm not really sure if you can mix it with the methadone or not but Revia (Naltrexone) can help with the cravings for both opiates and alcohol. You may want to ask the clinic where you get the methadone.

And go to an NA and AA meeting. You can find local meetings at www.aa.org and www.na.org

I don't know about methadone, but I hear that if you want to get anything out of your system real fast, drink a lotttttttttt of cranberry juice.
