I'm re-locating to Florida and I will need to find a methadone clinic that I can transfer to since I'm currently on a program in my home town. Is there a site? Thanks.
Yes there are a couple of sites....
This one gives more info like payment options, etc.

Go to www.uncoastna.org. click Meetings at the top. Then click a day of the week. It'll tell you what meetings are available in the area on that day of the week.
Hope this helps.
cant afford pain management no insurance left nursing home oct 2
Here is a link for a Clinic locator which allows you to find different types of treatment centers (from 12 step to methadone) in your area. Most Methadone programs are expensive though and do not accept insurance.

I just started Methadone maintenance for my addiction, but I am going away in two weeks. I have to go to the clinic daily to receive my meds. I live in Philly and am going to Florida.I found a methadone clinic near where I'm staying. Can my clinic send paper work down to the clinic in Florida so that they can distribute my meds to me for the week I am away? Or can my clinic supply me with a weeks worth of meds to take with me?
Yes, talk to your counselor ASAP and they will set everything up for you, You will have to pay to guest dose. If you've been clean long enough they can give you enough to last you a week or 2. I moved to S.C and they let you get a month take home, in Indiana you could only get a 4 day take home, every clinic has its own rules. Good Luck and have a great vacation!!
I just started Methadone maintenance for my addiction, but I am going away in two weeks. I have to go to the clinic daily to receive my meds. I live in Philly and am going to Florida. How am I going to be able to go on vacation? I found a methadone clinic near my girlfriends house in Florida where I'm staying. Can my clinic up here send paper work down to the clinic in Florida so that they can distribute my meds to me for the week I am away? Or can my clinic supply me with a weeks worth of meds to take with me? Usually the policy is that the patients come to the clinc daily for meds, then the second week they get one take home day, and 3 weeks we get 2 day take homes etc. Please help.
First, good luck kicking your habbit... Opiates can be a bitch (excuse the language) to quit, I know from experience...
I would call the clinic in Florida and just ask them. I bet it won't be a problem.

@divisionmagus hey man, it’s easier to say don’t let them handle your life, but some people just become addicted… Maybe I didn’t have the strong will power, but I let Oxys fuck me over, and they had me in a chokehold. I told myself that I would do them here and there and not go past my means, but eventually, I just did the opposite. Easy access makes you say fuck it. If you can “handle” them, more power to you… But the average person WOULD become addicted given the circumstance.
Hey? everyone, I too am an opiate addict. I was using IV heroin everyday for over 4 years. I got on suboxone at first without insurance and had to pay $7 per pill for 90 pills per month plus Dr. fees, which was more than $1000 a month just to stay clean. I’ve since gotten great insurance which allows me to get all my suboxone for free and I have a lot of extra suboxone? scripts left over. I am willing to help anybody out who wants to get? clean but doesn’t have the? funds to do it. pm me.
