75% of all those who "try" cocaine become addicted. And only 25% of cocaine users can kick the habit without treatment. Did Obama receive any treatment for his drug abuse, or do we just have "hope" that he's telling us the truth about no using.
Bush was a coke head, too. What's your point?

My husband Has finally admitted he has a problem & he wants help. He wants to do outpatient treatment or Narc-Anon. Has anyone gone through this and had luck getting off the stuff? Or is Inpatient Rehab the only solution. This is not the first time he has gone through this, but this time he is aware that he needs professional help.... I need to know what to do. I love him & I want to support him with this in the best way I can.
Outpatient treatment may be appropriate, depending on the extent of the addiction. Unfortunately, depending on where you live, many insurance companies require that you fail at a lower level of care (such as outpatient treatment) before they agree to pay for inpatient treatment (except when the client is having severe withdrawal or clearly needs detox).
I live in PA, and work at a substance abuse/mental health treatment facility that provides outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, and also has a program that is considered a partial hospitalization program for women who use drugs and are pregnant or have kids. We also encourage clients to attend AA and/or NA, and get a sponsor. Anytime a client's condition becomes more serious and they need to be placed in inpatient treatment, we need to call the insurance company and justify our decision to place the client in inpatient treatment.
The ideal situation would be to have the client attend inpatient treatment in the first place, then go to outpatient treatment, but most insurance companies just don't see it that way.
Admitting there is a problem is a very important first step in recovery. I would suggest that your husband call an outpatient treatment facility for an evaluation.
Good Luck!
Also, where can people go for treatment (In Seattle WA)? Thanks in advance.

Serious answers only, even better if you have first-hand knowledge of a successful recovery. What programs, especially in NY and NJ? What medications? What methods?
A 12-step program such as Narcotic Anonymous. I've been clean ans sober for over 17 years. The first thing I had to do was admit that i was powerless over cocaine and that my life has become unmanageable. It sounds like your life is now unmanageable...you can beat this.
My son is addicted to cocaine and needs help before he kills himself. I don't have the money to send him to a treatment center and wonder if there are ones that use sliding scale or free.
I don't know if these are free or sliding scale, but it definately could not hurt you to check them out. Here are some links I found.

A cocaine treatment center helps stop the risks of constant ...
Are you obsessed with cocaine? This might be clear symptoms of cocaine abuse and is a health factor that requires immediate attention. Though the craving to the drug is an apparent symptom, symptoms like increased heart rate, nosebleed, cardiac arrest, etc. can cause worry as they may eventually resulting in death. This is where cocaine treatment center and their treatment methods come into play.
Cocaine treatment centers are those that offer powerful and essential treatment for recovery of individuals from cocaine or drug addiction. These cocaine treatment centers offer help and guidance through means of comprehensive tools and medication to drug abusers to recover from the ill effects of cocaine.
Cocaine Treatment MethodsA cocaine treatment center begins treatment with a medical detox or detoxification where the toxins that have been created by the drug are all flushed out from the body before treatment. This process is initiated in the environment of the cocaine treatment center or affiliated facility under the supervision of approved physicians. This is often the most important and the most difficult step of the whole treatment processes. Most of the times as the body still longs for the cocaine, it becomes difficult to manage the detox process.
