I'm doing a research about alcoholism and I'm wondering if anybody knows if I can find a facility in Huntington Park which offers an alcohol treatment program. I'm planning to attend alcohol treatment programs so that I will be able to understand alcoholics better. I'm writing about the reasons why they got addicted to alcohol, how they are affected by alcohol, what made them say yes to treatment and how they respond to the program. I really think my research will help a lot of people so please help me. Thanks.

I need to get into a treatment facility bad. I am 21 and am low income with no health insurance. There has to be something I can do, alcohol is destroying my life and I am ready to get help, but when I call places they ask me to tell my parents to sell their house for treatment. If you need something more, you can contact your county and based on your income, there are programs you can get into for free. Go to an AA meeting, they can help point you in the right direction.

Does anyone remember that commercial from the 80's for a drug and alcohol treatment center? They used to run the commercial constantly (at least in Southern Cal), I think the place was called Schick or New Beginnings. What was the name of the song that played in the background during the commercial? It is a very famous classical piece that sounds a lot like Canon D (the wedding song) but it's not. They used it in the A&E show "Intervention" the other day so it appears to be synonymous with addiction and treatment. If you know it you're a genius!

I haven't heard it myself but it is probably J.S. Bach's "Air on a G-String" (I'm serious). Many people get those 2 pieces of music confused. It also might be J. S. Bach's "Jesus, Joy of Man's Desiring."
